"Just a quick note of thanks for the great job you did in sitting for us when our Mom and Dad left for a short trip. You can’t imagine how stressful it is on us when they are gone. And, we miss them so very much. Imagine our delight when the key hit the lock, the door opened, and a friendly voice called out our names. At first it was kinda frightening because we didn’t recognize you. But it didn’t take us long to figure out who held the key to the food can and that special someone who would call our names and pet us until we darn near purred ourselves silly.
Needless to say, the folks were down right tickled that we were so well cared for and they vowed not to ever leave us again. At least I think that’s what they said. Maybe it was, in case we leave again, Trisha will come by to feed you, pet you ‘till you purr so loud it rocks the earthquake center, and take care of our special needs. You know what we mean there! To Whom It May Concern,
During the first week of March 2008 I was referred to Trisha Grimsley for pet sitting services while we went out of town. We have two cats and a large mix breed dog, “Bertram”. We specifically sought a professional pet sitter due to Bertram’s history of behavior problems. He has previously shown extreme fear and aggression towards strangers inside our home.
After discussion, it was suggested by Trisha that we schedule “pre-visits” to observe Bertram’s behavior and to have him become more familiar with her. Upon entering our home, she demonstrated skill, knowledge of animal behavior and most importantly, extreme patience when meeting our animals. To our surprise, Bertram quickly became comfortable with Trisha and even began to play “keep-away” with her.
While on vacation, Trisha kept us informed of how our pets were doing and made herself available to answer any of our questions and concerns. Even though it was our first time leaving them at home, we felt completely at ease knowing they were well taken care of. She even left us very detailed notes of how each visit went when we arrived home.
Trisha didn’t just “take care” of our animals. She spent quality time playing with them, entertaining them and giving them the love and attention we couldn’t. This was such a positive experience for ALL of us we are already planning even more trips out of town.
